Different forms of bank financing

Every film is different, every TV programme unique. For Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, one principle governs bank financing – that your project has commercial appeal. If it does, here’s how we can help you:
  • Pre-Sales Contract Discounting
Under normal circumstances, your film or TV series will have been pre-sold to established distributors who guarantee a minimum amount when production is complete and the project delivered. Standard Chartered can lend against the value of the Pre-Sales Contract.

  • Gap Financing
Standard Chartered will sometimes lend against the value of the ‘unsold’ rights to your film. The amount of gap finance is usually no more than 20% of the budget.

  • Slate Financing

  • Securitisation of libraries and titles

  • Working with Film Funds

  • Receivables Financing
